Main Reading: Ezekiel 37; Isaiah 25–26; Daniel 12; 1 Corinthians 15
Theme: Scripture Reveals a Future Bodily Resurrection and the Renewal of All Creation
Messianic Focus: Yeshua’s Resurrection Is the Firstfruits of the New Creation and the Guarantee of Our Own
🌿 Overview
Hope in the resurrection of the dead is not a later Christian invention.
It is deeply rooted in the Torah and the Prophets and is central to biblical faith.
Ezekiel sees a valley of dry bones rise to life — a breathtaking picture of Israel’s restoration and physical resurrection.
Isaiah promises:
“He will swallow up death forever…” (Isa. 25:8)
Daniel proclaims:
“Many who sleep in the dust will awake…” (Dan. 12:2)
This hope reaches its fullest revelation in the resurrection of Yeshua, who becomes:
- the firstborn from the dead,
- the firstfruits of the new creation,
- the guarantee of our future resurrection.
Paul in 1 Corinthians 15 ties all of Scripture together:
If Messiah rose, we will rise; if He lives, we live; if He reigns, we will share in His glory.
The world to come (Olam Ha-ba) is not a disembodied spiritual existence —
it is a renewed creation filled with life, righteousness, and the presence of God.
This is our blessed hope.
