Week 51 — Wisdom & the Fear of the Lord

Main Reading: Proverbs 1–3; Proverbs 9:10; Psalm 111
Theme: True Wisdom Begins With Reverence for God
Messianic Focus: Yeshua Embodies Divine Wisdom and Teaches the Way of Life

🌿 Overview

The Scriptures teach that wisdom is not intellectual achievement, cleverness, or life-hacking.
Biblical wisdom is skill in living — a life aligned with God’s character, His ways, and His purposes.

Proverbs opens with a bold claim:

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge…”
—Prov. 1:7

Fear of the LORD—yirat Adonai—is not terror, but reverence, awe, and humble submission.

This week centers on learning how wisdom:

  • flows from honoring God
  • shapes choices, character, and relationships
  • protects from sin and foolishness
  • forms a life of integrity
  • aligns the heart with the path of righteousness

And ultimately, how Yeshua is the living expression of God’s wisdom, calling His disciples into the same wise way of life.
