Theme: God Exalts the Humble and Forms a Gentle, Teachable Heart
Messianic Focus: Yeshua Models Perfect Humility and Calls His Disciples Into the Same Spirit
🌿 Overview
If there is one virtue that runs like gold through all of Scripture, it is humility.
Humility is not low self-esteem or passive weakness.
Biblically, humility (anavah) is:
- a soft, teachable heart
- a willingness to yield to God
- gentleness in action
- freedom from pride and self-exaltation
- honesty about one’s need for grace
- strength under God’s control
Micah 6:8 summarizes the heart of a holy life:
“Do justice, love chesed, and walk humbly with your God.”
Proverbs teaches that humility brings honor and life.
The Psalms connect humility with teachability, guidance, and intimacy with God.
And Yeshua Himself embodies perfect humility:
“I am gentle and humble in heart.” (Matt. 11:29)
This week invites a deep examination of the inner posture that allows God to shape us fully.
