John’s voice still echoes across the centuries:

“Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” — Isaiah 40:3

Every generation hears that same call—to prepare the way for Jesus. For John, it meant a baptism of repentance, calling hearts to turn back to God. For us, it means opening our lives, our homes, and our church so that Christ can reign unhindered.

In a world filled with noise, distraction, and spiritual clutter, preparation often begins with clearing the path. It means reconciling where there’s been hurt, setting aside idols of busyness, and choosing holiness in the everyday rhythms of life. When we do, our lives become a straight path for others to see Jesus clearly.

Revelation 14:6–7 reminds us that this message now carries an urgent tone:

“Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come.”

Heaven’s court is in session, and Christ’s final work of mercy is underway. The call to prepare is not one of fear, but of hope—because the King is coming, and He longs to dwell with His people.

So today, as you worship, serve, and love those around you, remember: preparation is not about perfection; it’s about surrender. It’s about clearing the clutter so the light of Jesus can shine through your life to your family, your church, and your community.

Let’s prepare the way of the Lord together.

Blessings in Jesus’ Name,
