“Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.”
— Isaiah 40:3

Good morning, Church Family!

Isaiah’s words—and later John the Baptist’s echo—still resound across the ages: Prepare the way of the Lord. It is more than a call to moral reform or religious activity. It is a prophetic summons to make room for the living presence of God in our midst.

A Prophetic People in a Restless Age

We, too, are called to live as a prophetic people—not merely proclaiming future events, but bearing present witness to the soon return of Jesus. Like John, our calling is both bold and tender: to awaken hearts, to straighten what has grown crooked, and to clear the clutter that keeps others from seeing Christ clearly.

John did not prepare people through programs or prestige; he prepared them through repentance, humility, and truth spoken in love. His life was his sermon.
He lived simply, prayed deeply, and pointed entirely to Jesus.

Our church is called to the same: a Spirit-filled, deeply engaged, faithfully serving community that readies a city for Christ’s coming—not through noise, but through holy presence.

Preparing the Path in Our Homes, Church, and City

Preparing the way begins close to home:

  • In our homes, as we invite prayer back into the center of family life.
  • In our church, as we allow the Holy Spirit to reorder priorities around worship, discipleship, and love.
  • In our community, as we become known not for what we oppose, but for how we serve.

Every conversation becomes a seed.
Every act of kindness becomes a path-marker pointing toward Jesus.
Every prayer whispered in faith smooths the rough places where His kingdom breaks in.

Our Call: To Readiness and Renewal

Revelation 14 reminds us that the final message to the world is not merely informational—it is transformational:

“Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come.”

This isn’t a call to fear as the world knows it. It’s a call to reverence, awe, and readiness—to live as those who know the King is near.

Church family, this is the season to prepare:

  • To make straight the path of our own hearts.
  • To walk in unity and holiness as a Spirit-led community.
  • To raise our voices in this generation as John once did, saying, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”

As we meet for prayer, worship, and service, let’s do so with hearts awake and hands ready—because the Lord we love is drawing near.

Blessings in Jesus’ Name,
Pastor Tom Nicholas
We are a Holy Spirit-filled church family, where every member engages deeply, serves faithfully, and reaches our community for Christ.
